Tristan, it's great that you've responded, and take pride in your work. I have my own business and know that sometimes things can go wrong no matter how hard you try. Keep up the good work. I wish I lived closer so you'd be able to look after my SW20.

Hmm....this is certainly an interesting thread.
Just to chime in with my 2 cents worth....I also used this forum to find an MR2 repair guy when I returned from Japan 3 years ago.
I was also directed to WTF Autos by the regulars here.
Subsequently I visited WTF and had some work done by them.
I found Tristan to be a decent guy,who knows his stuff and the charges and fees applying to the work I had done were reasonable.
I have no hesitation recommending WTF autos to any MR2 enthusiast.
p.s.Kelmscott is about as far away from where I live in Perth as you can get.(Hillarys)
If any northern suburbs guys need some stuff done, the BP Workshop on Dampier Ave. Mullaloo does very good work.
The Boss there knows MR2s well and the staff are all good.I have all my day to day stuff done there, oil changes, brakes etc.
Hope to see more of you guys on the forums this year.Time we got organized for a good Autumn run somewhere...

I'll personally vouch for Tristan. He flew across the country for me without charge to fix a motor he built which was struck by unforeseen issues. He also fixed a mess made by others. In this car game, things will always happen (no matter how good you are), how people react afterwards is often what sets apart the good from the bad.

I've owned my 2 for 15yrs now, multiple builds, failures & high points. I'd trust NO ONE more with my pride & joy than Tristan. I've never seen anyone as efficient/competent as he with these mid engined mechanical nightmares. Running a business & managing people can be difficult as you put your name on the line & are often caught between 2 hard places. Good to see he's still willing to fix any wrongs.

The motor he built me was a gun if not for the block weakness (which I knew of). MANY here experienced that motor in action & would admit it pushed them to get a bit more "crazy".

Hi, took my 2 into these guys and they seemed to know their stuff... They had a replacement motor in stock and had my car back within 2 days without any troubles! Gave me a follow up call a week later to see how it was going. Pretty sure they also specialise in rebuilding injectors and pumps! Have to say they're my new local mechanic!
