Seems like a good budget friendly w2a, but not sure whether you get what you pay for with these things?
Have currently got an ebay greddy air to air cooler, so just weighing up whether it is worth upgrading to w2a with this kit, or saving the money and going with a higher end brand down the track
Any thoughts or opinions?

i got the 600hp kit, it looks ok, have intstalled all parts apart for the intercooler itself as i have to wait to put the engine back in...

I also have the 600hp kit but without the water pump. I went with an EMSPowered pump instead.

Quality seems pretty good, the intercooler is quite beefy and I like the design. No leaks or anything so far.
The fans are a bit lousy though

Looks great zerogk, a pretty tight fit though! Was it much effort getting the cooler mounted up front? Was only looking into the 350HP version so I could mount it easily in the stock position because I'm lazy like that :P
It does make way more sense to mount it at the front... will have to scope it all out once I get my car back, although I can imagine it'd be a massive PITA without a rotary lift! What did you use for piping between the heat exchanger and intercooler btw?

@beagle_senior would be interested to see how it goes for you as I have a sw20 as well, if you can find the time keep us posted on your progress!

i have one, quality is fairly decent for stuff made in china, esp the heat exchanger, im very impressed with that. Also stuka uses the 600hp kit on his car which is making 286rwkws. Unless u want to go for a little more power, W2A major advantage is that it is more reliable at keeping temps more constant. Im in melb, if you want some detailed pics of the kit im happy to upload some, or u can even drop by and check it out if ur keen. Also, i would definitely upgrade the pump to the bosch cobra unit over the other one they provide. Total price still ends up much cheaper than almost any other alternative for intercooling the MR2.

Yeah it's pretty tight, but only because I went for the large heat exchanger. Had to remove the A/C.
I think it fits better in the front of an SW20 but don't quote me on that, lol

I used 3/4" annealed copper pipe and 3/4" heater hose to connect it all. To be honest, bending the pipes into shape was a huge pain in the a** and I never want to do it again in my life! Better to go with braided hose if you can afford it, or even just heater hose for the whole setup but I'm not sure if that's a great idea.

Mounting it in the front is definitely better though. Ideally the heat exchanger should have as much surface area as possible with maximum airflow, even if the intercoooler is a small one.

as for running my lines from the front to the rear, i and using the heater pipes that are already under the car, has i have disconnected the heater ages ago, so that made it alot easier for me. I ended up getting a heap of blue 3/4 heater hose from rocketindustries.com which cost about $100 for 30ft i think it was...

I'd also recommend the Bosch pump as it's a purpose built W2A unit. Everything in the kit is decent quality, however I was not entirely happy with the brass fittings I also purchased. The thread forms are not quite right and they required a lot of hard setting sealant to prevent them leaking. Teflon tape may also work.

I fitted the heat exchanger in the factory A2A location mostly out of laziness, but the system still works very well.
