All of the photos on my huge build thread are hosted on photobucket. If I have to move them all to another hosting site then that would suck!

Yep! Your thread is massive with lots of information. It would be a mammoth effort to edit every post to fix the image links.

MR2QIK photos have gone too :(

This is the email from photobucket

You have been using photobucket for 3rd party hosting. To restore your 3rd party hosted images upgrade your account to a plus 500 plan.

Photobucket defines 3rd party hosting as the action of embedding an image or photo onto another website. For example, using the <img> tag to embed or display a JPEG image from your Photobucket account on another website such as a forum, Etsy, eBay auction listings, a blog, etc. is definitively 3rd party hosting.

It's frustrating but I will rebuild or maybe start fresh...

That photobucket crap is happening on forums all over - images now saying "update your account" everywhere ...

What involved in upgrading to the plus 500 plan. Aka how many $$s?

Maybe people should start calling it 'crapbucket' that may make them change their demands.

plus 500 plan
510GB Storage
$39.99 /M0
Billed Annually
$399.99 / YR

It's too expensive for me. I'm also guessing the prices are in USD so it will be even higher per year. I will prob just upgrade my personal wordpress plan for more storage and host the photos on there. It just sucks that so many threads/build guides/tutorials will be affected. It was good while it lasted.

Nooooo I just got an email from photobucket saying that I too will have to pay $399 per year to keep linking my photos to the forum! It doesn't look like it's taken effect yet, but it's just a matter of time before the hundreds of photos in my build thread suddenly disappear.
I wouldn't mind paying a little bit to photobucket, especially to get rid of the extremely annoying pop up ads that have been getting worse on photobucket in the last few years, but no way am I willing to spend THAT much.
Now I have to decide if I can be bothered going through my entire build thread and fixing the photos.

Updated all the photo links, I couldn't leave the thread to die. Robk, I hope you find the energy to update all the links in your 104 page monster.

Last week had the major service completed by Craig (Scope). He was kind enough to allow me to hang out in his workshop for 2 days and "help" where I could. What a great learning experience. It was a big two days but we ticked off each pre-service goal that was set plus more. Timing belt, idlers, tensioner, water pump, oil pump seals/o-ring, cam seals, crank seal, hoses from hell, belts, hand brake cables, all the fluids, just to name a few tasks.

Ah Lumix. How I love seeing such a well-kept and original Bathurst. They are becoming so rare!
