I may be interested later in the year re: the cf doors but Im just focused on majors to get the car on the track at the moment.
Im happy to lend a hand at the track if required.
Here is a link to an ex MR2 production car. Its worth it just for the chassis and suspension package. And if its the one which Jaune Fangio II drove in the BAthurst 12 hr with a 4th outright finish, it also has some fine history.

Has anyone gone around QLD Raceway? I went on an Evo suicide run a couple of weeks ago up the north coast and these guys were psycho fast. Two of them track their cars at the raceway often enough to be running 1:01's so I'm wondering if the MR2's can match these sort of times?

I dont know for certain if MR2's will match their times. The reason for this thread is to see what people are gettting from their MR2's based on the mod's they have made. The MR2 does have the potential to be as quick if not quicker than most. I think MR2 drivers enjoy the experience of driving a Mid engine car more so than being at the top of the list.Maybe..

I guess it depends on how far people are willing to go with money and time in not just the build but the development of the car. As I stated at one stage "MR2 won there class in almost every endurance race they raced in". These car were restricted and with only a NA motor. SO they have potential.

A unrestricted MR2 with at least the following:fully seam welded, comprehensive cage, widened track, 38-40" of tread on the road, the right suspension package,1050kg + 230+RWKW plus some quality driver training and you will be up there.
Cost....I will let you know when its finished.

Thats my humble opinion based on what I have seen so far.

I have been talking to the owner of a Production sports Sb MR2.
Naturally aspirated 93rwkw
1160kg
Proflex dampers
Std brakes
cage
Times: Eastern Creek 1.53 on used yokohama's, 1.50 on slicks.

Its a coupe with all the running gear from the 2002 Bathurst 24hr(B24) MR2.
He also stated the TT is 60kg heavier than the coupe! Damn..

Was talking to Dale at race car tech about my car and mentioned that as the setup is, the car needs roll center adjusters but he also mentioned that at the rear he need's to strengthen the toe adjusters as they have way to much flex and moves the toe to a +2-3 deg on compression. I thought this problem was rectified on the series 2 and 3 but obviously not so will post up pic's once the mod is complete

I think the toe adjusters have been modified on my car. I will take a pick and put it online for a comparison with your system.
Will be interesting to see what they( race tech) come up with for the set up for the car plus what difference it makes. I supect it will behave very well after this tune.
