thanks sweetpete for clearing this up for the others. we have now done a few 2GR's. just finished 2 others for a race car project, but not allowed to publicize that till customer has them track ready.
we have had both NA and TRD 2GR's into Spyder half-cut we have got. The biggest problem is clearance to the rear subframe as the diff case hits it, just near where the training arm mount is. By cutting the forward chassis rail around the mount, we can push engine forward & make it better clear the exhaust, but its a sub-optimal solution as the registration/approval implications are terrible. OK for race car however, and where you are happy to bash & cut the bulkhead to clear forward cam cover. Despite this forward rail mod, the rear cross member has to be cut and plated
I am investigating a shorter (narrow) E code box.
The 2GR Spyder is a work in progress, only posisble when there is a delay in customer jobs.
