Key lost

Should I try my Toyota dealer for a new key or should I try the local locksmith?
Cant find key anywhere, suspect it has been stolen. The car is a 1995 Australian SW-20 Bathurst

If your car is open and want the cheapest way, get the key barrel out of the drives door (couple of 10mm boots on the back of the handle). The barrel will have the code on the outside for your key cut shape - take the barrel to a locksmith and they will make a key.

Thanks Tony. The car is open & the drivers side window is down. I will take out the door lock barrel & get the code, then get a locksmith to cut a new key.
    Thanks again.

Locksmith cut new keys, after I removed the barrel & found the code. Kids/teenagers stole the key & must have thrown it down a storm water drain. As I live 400 Km from the scene & the key may never be found I have kept the original locks.
Thank you Tony, your help is very much appreciated.
