Low Idle

Hi there
Just wondering if my 500rpm idle is normal? And if it isn't, what could the problems be? No error codes have popped up

Doesn't sound normal for either turbo / na / supercharged mr2.

In saying that my mr2 turbo 1993 will have a high idle at cold start, when the temp needle first shows warm the idle will drop down to say 600 rpm and then within a couple of minutes it will return to 850/900rpm and stay at that idle (warmed up fully).

If it was idling previously at 850rpm or there about, it might be an indication of needing to clean your throttle body. From there it could be a number of maintenance type of fixes.
If you want more suggestions, best to list what year/engine and issues/maintenance history.

A good start would be give your maf sensor a clean and check air filter!

Before we head around to your throttle body 😃
