I have a 1987 Mr2 super charged 4age. engine starts then stops straight away.

Engine has been rebuilt, fuel pump will not work unless I bridge it out on the test code box, but engine still will not run, injectors are not pulsing . all fuses have been checked out ign switch checks out all relays have been checked, the car has been restored 2 years in the making. Can any body help ?

    The circuit opening relay is defenitely working correctly? That powers up the injectors etc, and when it is running, the airflow meter keeps the circuit opening relay pulled in.

    That said, have you confirmed power to your injectors and coil with the key on?

    Where are you based?

    '88 MR2 4AGTE W/ EFR6258

    Yes l have spark from the spark plug leads & power to the injectors but the injectors dont pulse when cranking the engine
    I am based in Denmark WA AUSTRALIA

    If the ECU was disconnected during rebuild it could be something as simple as checking that the connections to the ECU are pushed in completely.  Try removing & pushing them in again.
     
    Had a similar problem with mine after disconnecting ECU during timing belt & clutch renewal.

    Thanks all for the input
    All connections & continuity has been checked. I had the ECU manufactured, & now thinking that it could be the air flow meter or the distributor, as the fuel pump & the pulsing of the injectors still will not work with key on.fuel pump works when bridged, injectors will not pulse..
    Engine will start but wont run still.
