vin number location

hi guys im new to this so please tell me if im posting in the wrong section but I need help locating the vin number for my car which is a 1977 RA23. I have no paper work for this car and vic roads are wanting the vin. I have found two compliance plates and neith of which have a vin on them . please help!

    The VIN is usually stamped onto the body. I'm not sure where it would be on your model.
    Have a look in the engine bay on the firewall or near the top of the strut towers.
