3SGTE -cheap exh manifold gaskets failing

we are getting a large number of turbo MR's2 and GT4's in with blown exhaust manifold & turbo gaskets. these are almost all cheap gaskets sourced from on-line vendors. they simply don't last.The aftermarket turbo manifolds dont help, as these commonly buckle shortly after fitment here is a pictu..

Oil on the intake side of turbo

Hi guys, Hoping you can give me some help/insight. I pulled the intake off the turbo today and found that on the inside there is a light layer of oil covering the inside of the intake housing of the turbo. To my knowledge this shouldn't occur and the oil should only be confined to the CHRA to lubric..

Oil Pump

Is there a difference between the 1st/2nd gen oil pump and the 3rd/4th gen?I intend buying a 3rd gen oil pump (Original Toyota part)...? Any part numbers perhaps for the 3rd gen Oil Pump and Water Pump? Thanks..

4AGZE Knocking, MK 1.5 Time?

First time poster here, so go easy on me :) I got my self a Black Limited 1986 AW11 april last year with a 4AGZE that was swapped in running about 11psi with a Nevo pulley on the SC12 & has an A2W IC. Loving it! Sadly she's started knocking, and I'm thinking it's time to look at doing a MK1.5 up..

3SGTE 3rd gen (245hp)

Hey guys,Has anyone tried running the standard pistons, conrods and bearings in a 3rd gen 245 motor, with a Garrett GT3076 turbo. Boost 0.8 - 1.2 bar....(I think it's a given that the head bolts should be ARP with the Cometic HG) I am aware that the best is to upgrade to Wiseco's, Eagle Rods and ACL..

Alternator Belt

Can someone inform me what belt is used in place of the OEM belt for a Gen 2 Turbo? I've been told either P4K825 or P4K830 but not sure which is right. Thanks...
