So i made a purchase of a 87 aw11 sc from canberra on thursday, $2500 As you can imagine for that price a few things are wrong with the car, one of which is 3rd gear. its rooted, its a #$&@ to get into, and then it wont stay there. So, should i just throw a new box at it? or it is something..

Hey guys, Turns out my gearbox bracket has been modified. the holes have been enlarged to allow some sliding of the gearbox mount. Not so keen on that.
