The Wakefield Park 6hr is a regularity event for street and race cars.
It is a two day event with practice and qualifying on the Saturday and the 6 hr on the Sunday.
You can do the race with your Speed off the streets license or a higher level license if you have one.
Each team can have up to 6 cars per team and up to 6 drivers. You can share drive if you like.
Lap times are set at 1.09 to 1.25. Regulations can be found here http://www.wakefieldpark.com.au/events/6-hour-regularity
With 6 people entering the race, it will cost $250 per person. Accommodation/fuel/tyres are extra. I'm chasing accommodation this week.

It would be great to have a team of AW/SW/MRS MR2's out there and at the cost of under a speed of the streets day, you can not go wrong. It's also a excellent way to increase your driving skills in a quick, safe, effective manner.
The team name will be MR2 Trackday Challenge, Midship Mayhem, Mid Engine Madness, Team Midway or the likes.

Register your interest, and hope we can put together a team for the 6 hour.

Well look on the bright side. She is still in love!

Will she come to the MR2 trackday in Jan?

How many cars do you think will be on the track at once?

The idea of 'rubbin's racin' isn't for my fresh paint!

Is this event held annually?
Too short of notice now for me to get on board for this (I'm pre-booked to a combat robot event 2 weeks after it) but would definitely like to look at it as my follow up event after MTC2014 :)

It is a annual event with another one held at Winton. Make sure you contact when your in Sydney so we can hook up for a beer or whatever.
I'm not sure how many teams have entered but its not like the Wakefield 300 where there is a 'degree' of rubbing. Its quite a civil event (not a race) with less risk than a speed off the streets day.
There is a full day of practice on the Saturday which is worth the entry fee, but you also get the Sunday and a report on some websites.

One of the SW20 owners has called today who is keen on driving in the 6 hr. He has a 210+kw SW20 (ex targa rally). The car will have two drivers, the owner and his mechanic. His entry will be confirmed later this week. Hopefully he will be on board.
There are three other possible cars/drivers entering. My car has a seat available (for a small fee) as my co-driver from the W300 cannot make it.

There is still 3-4 weeks before the entry is due so there is still time to decide if you can enter.

There is practice and qualifying all day Saturday which means plenty of track time.
It is not a race as there are many street cars which enter the 6 hr. It is very similar to a speed off the streets day and safer. The reason being, people are not driving at ten tenths to crack some elusive lap time.
The 6hr allows each driver to have one hour of driving. This can be 15min x 4, 30min x 2, 1hr x 1, whatever you like.
A team manager would be an advantage. Anyone interested in this, put your name down.

Accommodation will be in Goulburn as everything near the circuit has been booked.
