So in the last few weeks. Not a lot of progress has happened, mostly due to waiting for parts to arrive. Though a lot staring at wiring diagrams has been happening since i am re-pinning the NA body loom to suit the turbo as the turbos body loom has been cut.
Nonetheless the NA engine has been removed from my Sdub (hopefully for the last time), the fuel tank removed, drained/cleaned, the Walbro installed and then bolted back in. The second picture shows all the gunk that was in my fuel tank which may be the source of the fuel issues i have been having.

Whilst the fuel tank was removed the turbo shifter cables were installed. The turbo was removed from the new motor and upon learning the cost of a rebuild. I had to find a better condition turbo, which luckily wasnt too difficult with many thanks to a forum member who had a recently rebuilt/low km ct20b that i was able to get my hands on.
I have also given the IC a quick clean and have installed it into my car. (This was very exciting for the fact that it will soon be a proper MR2)
The turbo has now been installed back on the engine along with a new thermostat, water pump and timing belt.
My dump pipe as we speak is off at an exhaust shop having a cat installed into it. With any hope the engine should be ready to be put into the car this weekend and then the wiring begins.
On a separate note. I found this whilst changing out the shifter cables. It was sitting under the cables directly beneath the center console storage box. Does anyone know what this is related to or knows whether this is stock or not? I did a search on the part number but apparently it doesn't exist.
