Thanks for the nice comments guy's. :)

It went back on the Dyno today and is still making around 119kw atw, tho now with the 164mm crank pulley it's making more down low.

I still have some issue with belt slip, clutch slip as towards the top end of the RPM it dropped about 2psi. There is a very good chance that I might end up putting a twinscrew on this car in the next year, getting a little over all the problems I have been having with the SC14's

Well it's starting to look official. I am going to install a Sprintex S5-210 TwinScrew supercharger in this car. Work should start around July / Aug this year.

I decided to pull the plug on the SC14 after all the trouble I have had with them and slipping, not to mention they are 20+ years old and not very efficient. The car was built to be turboed so the motor will have no problem going right up to 200kw atw. Looking at what the guy's in the UK got from the Sprintex S5-210's on the Mini's it should work to be at least 160kw atw and might even be possible to pull 180 to 200. I don't think I would want 200atw, would be happy around the 170 or at most 180atw.

Will have to go a/m ECU and the Haltech PS1000 is starting to look like what will be going in her. Been looking at some of those CAN dashes as well, but not 100% sure yet on the dash will wait and see.

Only thing I am going to have to be very careful of is the gearbox, the C60 is known to not be the strongest box and I will just have to treat her nice and not drive like an idiot.

Because the blower in there atm is slightly missaligned she is going to get garaged once I get my red car back until we start on the project.

Why not just swap in one of your SC12's for a while so you can keep driving her?

Thanks anachisttomato. :)

Knight, nah I am not playing around with her anymore until the twinscrew, since I can't change the blower myself I would have to pay someone to do it. To be honest she is most likely driveable and the belt should not break, but I know murphy really well and if I drive her around lots while I don't have my red car as a backup it's going to break. :P

Just going to use her as little as possible until I have the red car back, then I can use the red one as my daily and only drive the grey one when I feel like it until we start on the twinscrew.

I have owned the bloody red car for 18-months now and only had the pleasure of using it for just a few drives between places to have things fixed, so I am kinda excited to have it back and use it as my daily for a while, get some use out of it.

I seriously can't wait to see how this sprintex turns out.

Thought I should update this thread, been a while.

Since I last posted the car did a clutch in a big way, looks like it wasn’t adjusted correctly and got fragged. Found an awesome place over the north side called Hart Transmissions, the bloke that runs it name is Clint, this guy is nothing short of a legend. We sourced a great clutch from NPC and he had it fitted in no time. I can’t say enough good things about Clint and his shop, if any of you AW11 owners in Bris need a transmission place that knows their stuff and wont rip you off seriously give Clint a try.

While it was at Clints place he picked up on something bad, we had a 90deg silicone joiner going from the TB to the inlet on the blower, basically the vac was collapsing the pipe, would have been lucky if there was the space of a 50c piece for air to come through to the blower. He ended up fixing that for me with an aluminium 90deg elbow.

Ended up deciding after the mrs and I worked out we want to move in the next couple of years not going the twinscrew on this car. Basically we are sticking with the SC14 that originally came on the car, but it now has a SC12 120mm pulley on it ready to drop in soon.

Springs in the car are being changed, the ones that came with the Koni kit are way way too soft in the arse, I had to roll the guards recently because when the car squats the guards were hitting the tyres. Also will be changing the tie rod ends on the rear.

Got a new W2A intercooler from FB to go on when we change the blower. The one on there atm is a home made job with A2A core, wanted to throw one on there that had a W2A core. Still working out what to do with the HE, current one is under the car.

Made a video of her on the Dyno back in winter, mainly to show off the sound of the SC14. :P

Below is a nice pic of the car taken a couple of weeks ago while I was out running the first tank of United 100 octane fuel.

Hey Dave, recently picked up a SC adub myself and was just wondering if you had some more details around how you installed the heat exchanger for the intercooler?

You weren't kidding about Hart transmission either, great blokes, bit pricey but my gearbox was shot! I ended up with a lightened flywheel and an evo clutch (on top of getting the box rebuilt and synchros repaired as well as a crack in the casing from some sociopath mechanic in the past), very happy so far, it was actually your recommendation I saw on google that made me call them

Hey Millsy,

Welcome to the forums mate. :)

I didn’t install the HE myself, but it’s mounted under the car using a bracket to hold the HE also has a thermo fan which I run all the time, also have a scoop made out of alloy to help ram the air up through the HE. It’s over the gearbox side and is a 30x30x4 in size. To be honest this isn’t the greatest location for the HE, as Knightrous pointed out on hot days it’s pulling hot air off the bitumen. In winter it does alright, but in Summer it’s not very good.

Setting up a W2A on the adub can be a bit of a pain in the arse. I have just gone through this with my red turbo one and still planning on what to do with this grey one. The best solution is what I ended up using on the red car, I have a GT4 HE mounted up the front, it’s the perfect size and can be fitted nicely if you don’t have A/C. If you have A/C you can move the radiator mounts back to give yourself more room to squeeze a HE in there, you will also need thin line thermo fans.

Waning about the GT4 HE tho, there seems to be two models out there which I found out the hard way. The one on the red car is about 50cm wide, the one I bought for the grey car thinking it was the same turned out to be 75cm wide and won’t fit.

If you aren’t planning on running a bigger pulley mounting the HE under the car maybe ok, but if you plan on running a bigger crank pulley this turns the SC12 or SC14 into flame throwers and you might just want to consider getting a HE up the front of the car.

If you do want to go under the car you are welcome to pop over and try and stick your head under my car to see how it’s mounted.

Yeah Clint at hart is a great bloke, while they might not be the cheapest out there they know what they are doing which is a big plus. One place wanted to drop the bloody motor to do the gearbox, Clint had none of that. One of the hardest things for an aw11 owner in Bris is finding people that one know what they are doing and two don’t rip you off in the process. It’s always such a relief to find guys like Clint, rare these days.

Glad to hear my recommendation I wrote sent Clint some business, he deserves it. :)

Hey mate I completely forgot to thank you for your reply! I haven't actually had time to look into a W2A IC yet, had some more pressing issues with the car which need to be addressed first unfortunately.
