ahh awesome :)  Thanks :)

I found a autometer dual pillar gauge pod,  $61 plus $13.80 postage. http://www.dragparts.com.au/2-116-Dual-Pillar-Pod-RHD--AU23680.html

pretty good :)

nice mate! im thinking of geting the aem wideband aswell and a MT controller. Would you mind if i come down and have a look at how u gonna wire it up(electrical/electronics are not my strong points lol)

yeah no probs - the hardest part is finding where to poke the wiring through to the interior (shouldn't be hard at all) :P  from what I can see you simply thread the wire into the engine compartment, as there is a connector for the wideband. I'm assuming there'd be two or three wires assides from that that will need to be hooked up:

Power (accessory)
something to trigger the light in the AEM when you turn on the headlights (maybe)
and ground

I'm lucky in that I still have the dump pipe from my aftermarket dump pipe which has the screw in bungs for the wideband sensor.

dats great man, lemme know when yeah? aniway d bosh wide band should fit one of the bungs at d bottom of d dumpy yeah? one question though ( as i have atm a dumpy with a 120 cell cat integrated to it) does d bosh sensor have to be before d cat? as u want to get d actual afr before d cat does its thing yeah? i still have d decat dumpy lying round tho. i have a hard top turbo aswell the previous owner spent heaps on d cosmetic side thats why i can concentrate on d important things lol

ok so looks like I failed a bit.

could have spent an extra $50 and gotten a full 2" hot pipe replacement AND intake air pipe!

Got home to two more packages today:
Got the AEM, and dual pillar mount today, the 9" fan yesterday. Intercooler is on it's way, just gotta organise the shroud and block off plate.

I realised that you're probably talking more watching the ECU going in... rather than the wideband. The wide band has a total of 4 wires that can be wired in, only two HAVE to be wired in. Ground and 12v power :) EASY AS to install!.  then the other plug gets put through into sensor - as close to plug and play as possible.  The wideband is going in tomorrow :)

Ok, another very busy weekend.

went and picked up the microtech form Nuk1ear - thanks for that :)
Installed the pillar mount and the AEM wideband + sensor.  Such an easy install.  I was able to trace the wiring of the boost gauge, to see where it was patched in (more dodgy wiring - sigh).

The Drift Neo gauge is going to be the next to go - it just doesn't match the interior, which is so close to perfect in my opinion.  As I'll need a boost controller, I'll be getting an AEM tru boost( which will match the other gauge well ), then appradio and it's done. (theme is black/grey lol)

Having the boost gauge already wired in there was really useful actually- as I was able to trace the air tube, and poke the AEM sensor cable through the same hole.. right next to my intercooler lol.

The only downside is the nforce dump, has the sensor mounted at the wrong angle.  the manual calls for a 10degree tilt up, so that any unburnt fuel can drain.  Unfortunately the bung points the sensor down. FAIL!

On Monday my intercooler arrived :D

I'm going to need to get some more of those plastic press in things for the pillar pod tho when the truboost comes - I'm fairly sure removing the pillar will destroy them - anyone know where to get more?
EDIT:
with the stock ecu - I'm seeing two interesting things on the AFRs - very lean on idle (I assume this is correct).  I'm also getting the Gen2 BOV AFM fun.  The HKS bov goes off, and releases metered air that the AFM has sensed from the intake, which makes the afm go from rich to lean (full sweep).

also on full boost, the AFR is going down to 10 (seems very rich?) - may be time for a new o2 sensor too :\

MRTurbo
Nice work.
Yep 10 AFR sounds about right with stock ECU ('must protect the engine'), this is why there is so much to be gained by getting the thing tuned properly. New o2 sensor wont do diddly squat when its in open loop mode (ie. WOT/boost).
I guess it could be lean on idle since there is no load?

thanks for the info bout the AFR of 10 :)

that's what I'm thinking too - at idle - just keep the enigne turning

while moving at idle - can really lean out the engine, as the momentum will keep the car moving. Tru boost on the way now too
