Hi guys, I need second opinion on the above mentioned engine. Year 2003, roughly 100k on the clock. $2000 come complete. Is it worth buying? If it it, what do i need on top to fitted into my 1997 mr2? I know it's 4sp automatic transmission, n my N/A is a non lsd "E154". Computer...?
Thank you for helping.

Does your vin/build plate specify e154 transmission? The more common na gearbox is the s54.

Theres lots youll need to fit to the mr2. An intercooler. Most of the ancillaries and brackets will swap from your 97 motor, incl water outlet neck.

Thank you for the info. Yes it is St 246, So I guess it's not worth buying it. Is there anyway cheaper n lest hassle to gain more kW on my mr2 without having going through engine conversation? Ta

Any option to get "more" power out of an engine costs $$$. When it comes to engine swaps, and you are not giving it to someone who has done it before, be prepared with $$$$ and time for lots of things you may not be aware of. Google searches will bring up most of the common things to know.
To do it properly, doing spanner works myself, I costed/estimate a $10k plus exercise when I looked into it (engine, all engine service items to do when engines out, gearbox, driveshafts, engine management, accessories, dyno tuning).

This might help with rough costings (us though) and give you an idea of the parts needed.

Could be a good source for adapter looms etc.

Thank you TonyMr2 n 5sgte, for the advice n opening up. So I guess, I only have 2 options, 1. reconciliation my current engine (276k) n get called "sound no go". 2. Buying a Gen 3 half cut n transferring everything over, that would be a more simple process. Reason I asked abt St246 cos I like 291kw @ stock, huge potential power gain down the track. Btw I am no racer or good behind the wheel bt no offence,I just wanna kick some euro cars...
