Yeah dont get me wrong I dont mind the fact it has had a turbo conversion, But I prefer to buy a car how it came out of the factory..

For example buying a impreza rx with wrx conversion... I just cant do it!!

That gen 3 is sweet but I would have to sell my daily driver to be able to afford it (thats a 2009 peugeot 207 gti turbo) and I am still enjoying that, usues naff all fuel yet is pushing out 220bhp  :)

A bit different comparing MR2 to Impreza, on the imprezas a lot of mechanicals are different between a basic version and the wrx, plus interior etc, on the mr2, its just the engine/box.

Turbo MR2 can be very economical, used to average just under 10litres/100km on mine around town.

Cheers

I was lucky to find mine as I was EXTREMELY particular about which variant I wanted, but by no means is it perfect. I'd still be looking if I didn't buy it.
I'll get 450km to a tank around town with a bit of freeway/highway driving.
I'm also not shy with the noise pedal.
Definitely economical!
Don't be concerned about engine swaps or resprays. These cars will be hard to find in stock condition.
Judge the car by it's present condition, not by how it started life.
After all, most race cars have some sort of mechanical conversion, and a new paintjob... :)

Thanks for the kind words guys. The car actually Looks better with a wash and polish.

After looking at mr2s for 2 years before I find the perfect one for me.

I gotta disagree, paint jobs at this age are expected but after looking at a few local examples of conversions in mr2s and soarers I would only go stock gen 3.

Conversions can have issues, and electrical gremlins would suck
