Looks good. Liking the contrast of the black over the top too. Does that mean your hardtop will be going black... Or white? ;)

Looking real neat.

for some reason, red just doesn't seem to go with the spyders, still looks nice but wow, that whites immaculate.

Well its felt like ages since my car broke down! but only a month.

she was that sick she had to be carried home!
So that weekend hooked her up to the computer to see the codes.
Codes were P0715 - Input shaft sensor & P1870 - Gear shaft postion.
So got the BGB and tried what it said to do before replacement and didnt work.
We did notice that the car when having the issue it would beep and i wasnt sure until
a fellow spyder owner said it does that when your clutch slips and it so happens he had a stock clutch
and flywheel he wasn't needing anymore due to change of direction of his car (Thanks KIWI).
So in the meantime we brought another spyder which was a write-off so cant be re-registered so
was cheap and do well for extra parts for mine and extra goodies but foremost for tracking.

so the next weekend we dropped my engine.

while we were at it we go into changing the intake to a 2zz one due to previous
issues with the 1zz. not expecting to much change just for piece of mind!
1zz

2zz

abit of modifying to tips, throttle body holder and had to cop alittle underneath for the starter motor to fit.
replaced the clutch with a stock one where before it had a heavy duty one
As you can see there were alot of scratches on the flywheel

heavy duty clutch

Took a few bits of new spyder, took the nicer exhaust manifold inclued the heat sheilds and input shaft sensor as mine wasnt looking great.
Mine on the left

so while the engine was out, i cleaned the engine and hit the plugs with a cleaner, and alot of the smt wires were exposed got the covered up.
Installed the engine along with OEM exhaust until my TRD Exhaust arrives

also installed series 2 center bits on bumper

can defiantly say the stock is so much more smoother then the heavy duty so i am glad for that
as there wont be a need for heavy duty as ive decided to retire the car from the track as that is what the
yellow one is for!

and at the end of it all I've learnt alot about the smt and not so scary as you may think :D
