Nathan managed to install 95% of the sample last week and all went well. He’s been able to test everything except RPM and Wideband input so far. Hopefully he gets sometime this week to test those out. He’s been a big help, was really good to get the sample installed into a car for proper testing and in the hands of someone like Nathan for proper feedback.

Sensor accuracy seems to be coming up pretty good from his reports, attached a photo of him testing the Fuel Pressure sensor below along with his feedback so far. The addition of the calibration function in the gauge looks like it will come in handy.

He was also able to confirm that some of the sensor wires needed to be extended for MR2 installs as well. I have already spoken with the factory and they confirmed they will extend the below cables for my kits.

Control box to gauge cable 3m
Pressure sensor cables 2.5m
Temp sensor cables 2.5m

As it stands now, I am going to be shooting for the first stocks to arrive around the end of this month.

The instructions supplied are probably the clearest and most detailed i have seen supplied with any gauges, short of motec/racepak dashes.

Refresh rate on the sensors look good, looks like they have a good level of filtering on the signals before display.

First impressions im impressed. Must admit i havent hooked up the dimmer on the gauge, but even brighness of gauge is good. No bleeding on the display. Piston locking nut on back of display is a nice touch too.

Okay. So i checked water temp, and it was accurate to 1.5c testing from 20 to 82c. It followed perfect to about 73c, then started to drift, but nothing to worry about

Turbo sensor is accurate to about 3kpa in my initial checks, but i will check it more thoroughly when i get a chance.

Fuel pressure tracks correctly, but i had to put an offset in the calibration. I will move my reference gauge to confirm, but was reading .4bar too high initially.

Quick update.

Approved the final design for the screen faceplate last week, attached image.

They are just working on converting the JRP logo to dot matrix to be programmed into the gauges opening and closing ceremony. Once thats done they can start to program my stocks and will be ready to ship.

I would say stocks should ship to me early Oct, will throw up an update once they have shipped.

** Note the words "MR2 Australia" are not actually on the gauge, its an image watermark the forums put on uploaded images **

Is there scope for a non-MR2 faceplate at all? I would be keen to run one in another model.

Yeah man, those words MR2 Australia are not on the gauge, that's actually an image watermark the forum applies to uploaded images. :p

I saw that and wondered if people would think it was on the gauge, as it conveniently was placed in such a way it looked like it was part of the gauge.

So yeah, just to confirm, there is no MR2 Australia words on the gauge.

Widebands arrived ready for the gauges. :)

Turns out last week was a holiday in China, they are back to work on Monday. Should have a good idea this week when the first shipment of gauges will be sent.

Got an update from the factory this morning for the gauges. :)

The front glass got delayed slightly, looking to be ready on the 20th.

They are working towards the first shipment being sent to me on the 24th.
