Hey, any update on these? Looks like what I'm looking for, if it can output a serial stream or log to SD card even better!

I am going to email the factory this week for an update, will post up what they had to say after i hear back from them.

The v1 samples i got all sold and got some pretty good feedback. Appears the sensors are pretty accurate, had one bloke use a bunch of other brand name gauges as reference and compared, said they were all spot on with very minimal variance.

As for logging, nah no serial output or sd logging. They are going to apeal to people that want all the important stuff on a single gauge, can set alarms up so you dont need to be looking at the gauge all the time.

When the v2 are ready, im going to get a small sample order first, then larger order after. So will post up here and see who wants in on the sample order.

Ok just got a reply from the factory.

They said the v2 is nearly done, they are going to run 20pcs off the production line as test units/samples. They are going to send me one of these 20pcs to test which is exciting.

Once I get the sample unit I will bench test it, take some photos, maybe even a short vid and post up.

This might change my plan a little, what I will most likely end up doing now is if the sample unit tests out ok, I will just make the larger order. I am going to be away the first couple of weeks in Aug, so might aim to get the order here around the end of Aug.

Will post up once the sample unit has arrived.

i might be interested for these for some "simple" race car use, but.....

6 lots of data on a display 51mm wide x 26mm tall....thats tiny (or have i misunderstood the sizes you posted???)

does the display flash or do something to alert you when it hits a warning value?

can warning be set low and high, or just high?

how does it handle the bright sunlight...can you actually read it?

The screen size posted is correct. When I first had my hands on the v1 samples I initially thought the screen was a bit small, but once I powered one up they are clear and easy to read despite the screen being small.

The v2 units are going to be configurable to what displays on the screen, so you can reduce the items displaying on screen too three for example if you want a larger readout. They have 3 pages of screen readouts you can switch between and configure how you wish.

The set warning values if met will trigger the unit to beep at you, saves you having to look at it all the time and can just focus on driving. The temperature ones from memory on the v1 were just high, but have a feeling there was a high / low on the pressure ones. Can confirm when the v2 samples arrive.

They are pretty bright, so I would say there won’t be any issues there. I do need to check what they are like if the sun is hitting the screen directly if there is any reflection, planned to check that when the v2’s arrive.

for what its worth, we usually set up our race car dashes to display 'exception reporting"

so, the background display might be a tacho and then the the other 'gauges" only appear if any of the inputs is in warning mode, eg, water about 95C then alarm beeps and gauge display comes up

most folks set the display to display an analogue face type display or a bar type graph, not just a digital number

i can send you some screen grabs if it helps

i'm still concerned about size based on real race car experiences. the smaller multi-gauges started on bikes and when guys tried them in race cars, they gave up due to size. now, the smallest race car dash is about 100 x 80mm display size

good luck, i'll keep a watch on this
