I think if there were an AW only class it would need to be strictly limited to 1.6 litre only and no artificial forced induction. In reality even if they're 20v or 16v small or bigport they're all roughly the same. They'd be very even and it would prove for good entertaining racing. I'd love to see 8 - 10 AWs screaming around Wakefield all at once. You could maybe add a handicap for people who have gone to extreme lengths with weight reduction but other than some rules on tyres it's best to keep it simple.

Small update:

Fitted nolathane bushes all round..

Got some new 15' MRS wheels for the adub.

From this........

Too this....

With these new wheels & tires I have reduced each wheel & tire weight from 22.5kg to only 17kg... THAT's a huge reduction of 5.5kg per corner.  (Total weight saving of 22kg :-))))

Not that I had any braking issues with this car, but hopefully I will notice a difference now on track... will have to wait now till next Mallala track day in September.

In the mean time, I will have some new 595RSR's fitted.

Muuuuch better! 17" on an Adub is blasphemy in my opinion. Especially for track work. ;)
You'll notice the difference for sure!

Removing 22kg of rotational mass and unsprung weight should be quite noticeable :)

Well.... after the last track day in Sep, the gearbox finally shat itself.  Time to install a new one so its ready for MTC 2016.  I'd better get onto it.

Ready for its new gearbox.  Just gotta modify another smallport C52 to change the gear linkage shaft input around the other way.

Ok, didnt notice as much as I would have liked. Temp reduced by 2deg only :-(
I suppose its better than nothing.

Im considering relocation into the side vent area, see if that helps & reduces overall oil temps.

I've ran one in that spot and with a extra scoop in place it's lacking good flow through the engine bay, a proper scoop with the cooler mounted underneath should be all that required and is my next step. Plus a water spray has proven it's worth in the past with me.
