IDEAL world with the tyre fitting correctly, right offset, suspension moving correctly and most importantly actually not hitting the body and chassis of the car with the tyre when loaded up around corners it would be great. But this would not be the case without a lot of small mods.
But this person is not asking for the best racing setup (he would not be asking the question he is), nor will he need more tyre in the front than a 225. The biggest tyre is not always best, and this i true in this instance.
Theory is great but practice is a lot better.
My own 225 on a 8 inch rim have zero issues with front end grip. Nor does The Pearl for instance that runs a 215/255 combo, or any of the other modified SW20's i have driven with a 225 street tyre.
Biggest rear tyre that can fit= Great
Biggest front tyre that can fit= Not necessarily worth it for the compromises it comes with
