Yeah i forgot to mention the manual throttle option, and im hoping your right in the the other computers. Ive researched the hell out of it and been to several respected tuners and so far i havnt found an option short of $2500 for the unit which was still using the standard ecu to control some things.

v6mr2 - I know what you meant by physical and i said it isn't that simple, look at Road and Tracks write up on their website. There are several issues that the mount kit have along with other clearances and custom fabbing parts to make it all work. Not saying it cant be done as a home job just that there is a lot to it and its not "simple".

Anyway good luck with the sale of the 3vz :)

Well it did take me a weekend to do the 3vz conversion, so I'd give it 2 weeks to a month max for the 2gr :)

... I'd highly doubt this swap can be done at home within a month. Yours was already swapped you just put the engine into a different shell. There are days of custom fab work to get this to work properly.

I take it you've already read the Road and Track article on their website http://www.roadandtrack.net.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=139:2gr-v6-conversion-for-sw20-mr2&catid=45:general&Itemid=43

The car that article talks about is mine and it took just under 6 months. Having said that it could have been done a lot quicker (i wasnt in a hurry) but no less than 2 months (by a professional shop).

What are your plans for gearbox/gearset? id definitely suggest changing the final drive. Mine runs out of first and second in a heart beat and its significantly longer than the standard mr2t e153.

I was planning on leaving the e153 I have now and see how it goes, coming from the 3vz I don't think there would be to much diff? Maybe you where spooky by the four cylinders extra 1000-1500 rpm extra? Haha
How is the drive anyway?
And to fabbing from what I know it's the custom moun tomclear the water pump pulley and the clutch slave rubs, the way I see it when I have it all I'll see what the go is and wing it, other then gym and work, I do pretty much nothing else so I go time on my hands and money if need be,
When there's will there's a way right? And just like the many 1mz and 3vz swaps in the beginning where seem as godly tasks, now it's common practice, and I'm sure in due time so will the 2gr

Hmm I wonder actually how much boost it could run with the stock 10. Something to 1 compression ratios, that would be pretty insane, is the Trd supercharged 2gr using same intervals or totally different?

there are guys who've run the 2gr up to 20psi(turbo'd) before it blew tho i think they just wound up the boost till then they didnt really do much to see where it would run safe.

So far i think TRD blower from the Aurion is the go. Monkey Wrench Racing have put one on their 2gr'd elise without issue. Its running 3.5psi and making 340rwhp. Im pretty sure thats under driven but since the standard TRD aurion is running something like 4-6 psi.

O and from all reports there are no differences between the TRD and standard Aurion internals or compression ratio.

wow, thats honestly impressive, imagine the improvements to response and top end from such an upgrade, ah well, one more year before i can start to think of something like that haha
the 2gr on its own will have to be enough till then xD

Man the 2gr will be enough on its own. Its an absolute ball to drive think your 3vz on steroids :D
