might want to let people know what part of the handbrake cable you need. I am pretty sure there are 3 parts.
The part from the handle that goes through the floor into the bracket under the car, and the left and right hand side cables that run out to the rear brakes from that bracket..

yeah thanks for that, i need the left part that goes to the wheel, are left and right the same?
 

I think they have different part numbers because Toyota supply them as an assembly with a left or a right hand guide bracket, but I believe the actual cables for the right and left hand are the same.
You can reuse your old bracket anyway.

ow ok, is there any shops that might stock them? or is toyota my best option?

If you can wait a week for delivery from the US, Twos'rus or Lithia Toyota would be the best shot.
