Hi, My car has decided to crap itself and ive done all the routine checks but i need a OBD 2 device to find out if there are any error codes so i can find out whats wrong. it would be a big help if anyone has one i can borrow

Can you explain in what way it's crapped it self?

Got IT2 at work that I could borrow over night. Other wise I've got an after market OBDII scanner that could read engine codes and clears them but it's limited to engine only.

you can buy them for as little as $100, but those cheap ones will only read the engine module (if you are lucky), not the tranny, ABS etc.
most cheap tools only work with post 2001 cars as Toyota did not have a fully compliant OBD port till then
most mechanics now have one. jsut go to your nearest one. expect about $100 charge to extract the codes as they are using a $10,000 machine
