Chasing a dead/broken e153 for parts, mainly need the selector shaft, diff, diff cover and a few other internals.
In qld would be best.

The near impossible part selector shaft, carmikey chasing for years, many of us on the hunt always, selector shafts are golden nuggets. $2K box will get you a selector shaft and near dead box :(
 
Lot of parts can be grabbed out of a camry 1mx manual 1999-2000 e153 (last price was $800 delivered just pre-covid), however lots of work to make it work (different final drive / different shaft, different case drilling, different gear etc width for different tolerance on shaft - but can use a few internals in varying combinations - internet will tell you it all slaps together and over, happy to show you here in Brisbane why it doesnt).
Diff cover can buy new.
Every which way, partial solutions, everyone wants cheap but unlikely.

Hmm thought it was to good to be true, have an e154f? From my wrecked caldina sitting here not worth much. Then managed to find a thread where a guy converted it to 2wd for his mr2 with all the parts listed. Not chasing cheap, just seemed a more likely way to get a good known condition box to replace my s54

You may get lucky... never know... Lots of us watching no luck for a few years (even internationally).
Still a few customising solutions but all cost a lot (custom shifter cables, or electronic shifter).
If I remember when back in Bris, can chat more.
