As i live in remote SA, i can only make it to one event next year. Should i do the trackday challenge in NSW or the MR2 Nationals in QLD?

That question could cause some controversy
I say MTC. There should be some other guys driving up from SA so maybe you could meet them somewhere and cruise up with them.

If you want to do track days, the MTC is the choice.
If you prefer long road trips and crusing in the sunshine, the Nationals is probably for you.

I want to do both :(
I haven't had an opportunity to meet any other enthusiasts yet, and I've never driven on a track. I'm not really interested in competing as such - i just want to experience my car's performance without getting arrested lol. The cars ability will undoubtably exceed my questionable skills.
I also like the idea of cruising around sunny Queensland with other MR2 owners.....What a dilemma.. ..

Like robk has stated above, a group of us from adelaide are heading to the mtc again in jan, would be great if ucould join our convoy.

MTC is in January & then you've got 9 months until the Nationals.  Go on do both, you know you want to.
I also don't compete in MTC, but had a ball this year.  Will be there again in 2015.

Both these great MR2 events are quite different, with the MTC being mostly track oriented, and I am sure you would have a ball at either event, but I can understand the dilemma with the long trek from SA.

I should mention that the 2013 Nats in Tas last year did include one fantastic track day at the Baskerville track near Hobart.
I would expect that the Qld. Nats would also include one track day, as well as cruising around sunny Qld.

Hi Rick,
I would love to come over for MTC, & meet you on the way, but it's unlikely to happen.
Too many other commitments.

That would be a really long trip for you!
I'm only likely to be able to do this once, so i don't want to miss the opportunity...
