Thanks. The sub amp is under the passenger seat, totally concealed with all cabling hidden.
I haven't drilled any holes in the body anywhere so far, only a couple of holes in the carpet under the passenger seat. The head unit mounts in the factory mounts, and i used an adapter loom so i can return it to original if i ever want to. I still have the original head unit and speakers, and i haven't cut any of the original wiring.

Yep, its been 20 years since i did anything like this tho. That was with my RA28 Celica... Swapped an imported 18RG twin cam motor into it...did a big end bearing 6 months later (so much for it supposedly only done 40,000 kms!). Did a full rebuild after that and ran great for 7 years. I'm no mechanic, but my dad taught me a few things (enough to get me into trouble lol).
These newer engines are a bit more complicated electronics wise, but tuning the twin sidedraught solex carbies was tricky.
