The strut looks familiar :-)

Yeah, that strut is the product of some serious design and engineering. I got it from a very talented person lol....

Tyres not looking good after a couple of track days at Mallala and MTC2015. I'm just waiting for my 17" wheels to arrive so i can get some decent tyres. Falken street tyres are pretty crap when subjected to track abuse.. Federal 595 RSR's will be the go...

Old shift bushes gone, replaced with DeltaV shift bearings... Result is fantastic, Toyota should have made them like this from the start! Just waiting for the square Bush replacement bearing....

Hi Rick.
DeltaV stuff is really good. Nothing better and its delivered in just a couple of days too.   Square bush is available from Toyota for bugger all and is well worth replacing also.  Don't forget to check the tightness of the cotter pin that secures the crank to the selector shaft.

I've got a square bush replacement bearing coming as part of the group buy... The genuine Toyota one isn't a great concept... They start wearing from day one... Obviously trying to keep costs down. I love the idea of a proper bearing replacement

IMO that square bush is the best design for the job, cheap and easy to replace too.
On my '90 model NA I simply loosened the starter (no need to remove it) to access the bolt underneath to loosen the assembly enough to pop the square bush out.
If it hasn't been done already, simply rotate it 90 degrees, grease it and put it back.

"a proper bearing replacement"
You can buy an enclosed ball race that is supposed to do the job.
However I tried to fit one to my car but found it useless.
With the NA OEM bell crank assembly design, there was too much slack for it to ever work properly .

I did rotate it when i did the Beams swap, but i think the bearing is a better idea, i'll see how it goes when it arrives...

Rick,
When you receive it, would you mind sending a pic thru.  Very interested in it.

Cheers.
