Hi i was drivibg around n my gears died on me. Gear 1 3 5 work but 2 4 n reverse don't. I havde a sw20. How much to fix cause im tired coffee the sw20 just spent 8k on fixing engine . I wana shoot the car now its cost me more than i could imagine.

To help you out more, we need more information.  Does it make crunching noises when driving?  Can you shift the gear knob freely? 
 
Judging by the way you still have gears 1, 3 and 5 I would say that you have either snapped a shifter cable or it has come off the gear selecter at the gearbox or under the console. 
 

What midnite said is most probably correct, I had the same issue, except mine was with side to side.

if you pop the engine lid, you'll see the two shift cables protruding out into the gearbox. Check to see if the C clips are on the cable's (theres a support brace that protrudes out) and they are supported in their braces

Also check the actual connection ends of the linkages, both under the centre console and the gearbox itself.

My bet is on the C clips though, that was my issue 

thanks for fast response. i didnt feel there was anything wrong just a slight crunch when shifting gears then all of a sudden when driving the gears didnt work. how much would it cost me to fix?

I had this happen to me the other day. One of the clips that holds the shifter cable to the gearbox bracket has popped off and lets the cable move when you try to select 2nd, 4th and reverse, however 1st, 3rd and 5th are fine because the cable cannot move in that direction. Get another clip and put it back on, it takes only a couple of minutes to do once you can access the gearbox. Wouldn't bother driving to a mechanic for it to be honest :)
 
If it was a broken cable, you wouldn't be able to select 1st, 3rd or 5th.

Hard to believe the holding clips would pop out, but maybe whoever worked on it last may not have fitted them properly.
If that's what's causing the problem, depending on which end of the cable, the clip may be lost. (The clip P/N is 90468-14016)
The pic shows the gearbox end, but the clip may have popped out from the end under the armrest.
