Thanks for all the positive comments gents!

I can't stop thinking about what it would be like with a TRD Aurion 2grfe Supercharged motor. Would drop straight in as the car is already setup with the correct gearbox (E153), axles, engine mounts etc. Not sure if it would be able to be engineered though.

Reason I'm thinking about it is because I need to spend some money on the motor anyway. It has a tiny oil leak from behind oil pump which basically means a timing belt style job to fix that and I want to replace the old CT26 with either a rebuilt 20b or something else. Easy couple of grand right there with parts and labour.

The supercharged 2gr might have too much torque for the light car (and skinnyish tyres) and just become a burnout machine when giving it full throttle in the lower gears.

Its still just a silly idea that probably won't ever happen but you never know :)

Today I finally got my hands on an unused factory JDM emergency flare to fit in the AW11s flare holder. Thanks to Sweetpete for donating his spare one!

It is exactly the same as this one:

Just a thought that putting a turbo on a 3vzfe is probably going to cost less than trying run a 2grfe.

Thanks for you idea Senol!
Replacing the current gen 3 3sgte will probably never happen anyway as my wife and I are expecting twins in June :) Come to think of it probably not much will be done apart from regular servicing and maintenance haha.

Thanks Richard!

Actually, the mention of a V6 turbo above does fit in with what we have just purchased. My wife has just bought another Saab which is a 2008 9-3 Aero wagon. It has a 2.8L V6 turbo engine.

Congrats buddy! Your life will change forever. Thankfully your AW11's already at such a high standard that it'll be a serve as an excellent short escape from wagons & family life (like my SW20).

Long time no update been uber busy with two new humans under our care.

Carrera on the left and Scarlett on the right. Two happy little girls :)

Thought the wagon I bought to transport them in needed a few mods haha.

Tinted the windows in 20%
Euro number plates
Fitted a Hirsch (Saab performance division) rear diffuser
Genuine BBS CH 19x8.5 +35 w/CF center caps with 235 35 19 rubber (Wheels are pretty much flush on the front and 10mm from flush at the rear)
JZW flashed ecu stage 1 - The 2.8L turbo V6 engine now outputs 235KW / 575Nm (torque is nuts now as it peaks at just over 3K RPM) The car absolutely hammers now. Seriously quick family hauler.
Couple of Maxi-Cosi baby seats

Some crappy pics below. Look heaps better in person. Wheels are an excellent fit.

The AW11 is still going fine with no issues at all. Super reliable.
