Glad to hear you like them. Did the front coilovers come supplied with the camber plates wrong left to right, or was it just me that was lucky with that.

I was thinking the other week about your choice of spring rates, and for rural driving your probably near spot on. The 6/8k can be a bit harsh and make the car a bit nervous on really bad rural roads.

Nah my front strut tops were alright :) Had to do a bit of minor filing to get brake line to sit in the tab and also trim down the drop link threaded end that attaches to the drop link mount on the front coilovers. Apart from that, it was relatively smooth install.
They are a tiny bit bouncy after a week or so of driving but I haven't tried any further adjustments to the dampers.

In other news the Adub is getting a bit of a makeover at the moment :)
  • The front lip and side skirts are in being painted in the factory metallic silver.
  • Car is booked in at Performance Exhaust on Friday to get the Kakimoto 3in muffler, 3in Magnaflow metal cat and piping installed.
  • New floor mats arrived from Matcraft in Western Australia. I got the MR2 logo done in silver which looks great!
  • Painted the exterior A Pillar trims, targa roof trims and wiper arms in satin black. Came out very nice indeed. Exceeded my expectations. Took my time with these and did about 6-7 thin coats.
  • Started running a clay bar over the car and couldn't believe the amount of crud that came off! Must continue this when I get some time.
  • The BC coilovers which I've already installed. Just got to get an alignment when I have some time.
Here is a few pics of the Matcraft AW11 mats.

Picked up some parts from the local spray painter yesterday :)

Got my Kbox AW11 rubber trim kits ready to go. (didn't install the side vent one)

Bit of a fiddly job applying super glue and sticking the trim on.Came out pretty good tho.

Today's mission was visiting the boys at Performance exhaust in Northmead to have my SW20 Kakimoto 3in muffler custom fitted to my AW11.
A few pics from the install.

The old B-Pipe was a masterpiece :) Probably not ideal being 2in in places and a leak to go with it haha

The old HKS muffler is an excellent condition for its age and still very much usable.

Making the new bits :)

All fitted up

I couldn't recommend Performance Exhaust enough, they understood exactly the look and fitment I wanted and pulled it off perfectly. In my opinion it has a true bolt-on JDM style look to it (AW11 Fujitsubo) which is what I was after.
They also tucked the exhaust piping up as high as possible for the best ground clearance and fitted a quality Magnaflow metal cat.
The exhaust is quieter at idle then before but louder when you put your foot into it.

I haven't been this satisfied with a purchase or service in a very long time.

Thanks for the congrats Dudeman! Totally missed your post.
The anniversary event was awesome. Was great to catch up with everyone and meet some new people.

To my amazement I received this at the end of the day :)

Nice little front end pic someone took which I stole from Facebook.

Also received the Twosrus gas engine lid strut from Millsy today and fitted it up. Can't believe I put up with the loose factory prop rod inside the cabin for so long. Here's a pic showing the contents of the AW11 kit.
