hmmm not keen on hanging round hobart for days (its a bit like canberra) but i'll def try to make it for the touring parts :-)

Having lived in Hobart for 3 years I can confirm it is nothing like Canberra! There is plenty to see here, the mountain, MONA etc and great roads such as that used in the local Wrestpoint targa nearby. The nominated track at Baskerveille is ideal for the MR2, more of handling track than a power track. I was at the 2011 MR2 nationals in Bright, there is never a dull moment at these events with like minded people. If anyone needs advice let me know.

ok it's not as bad as canberra in SOME ways, the largest industry IS public "service" though and it has that vibe... (i'm headed down there tomorrow)... but after 25 years living in tassie and another 5 years FIFO from there, i can pretty safely say that with all the other bits to  see... too much time in Hobart is wasted.
