Ahh I see
So wouldn't there be some trick to keeping the valves opened from idle all the way to 7200? Or is that a silly question

So the spacer wouldn't work at all on a gen 2 right

1. Yes.

2. IMO would probably do SFA (and on a gen3 as well).

Yeah that would be true it would be worth testing tho just to actually see what would happen. On both the 2 and 3

Anyone here played with keeping the Acis engaged from idle? If so decent gains? Or would it not be worth messing with it I have 2 Acis assembly's
Worth doing red targa or not ?

Yeah fair point
If I had the equipment I would be prepared to give it ago and compare results
My partners uncle owns GeForce at Gateshead so using a dyno isn't a problem

A bad idea to totally disengage the ACIS (valves open) 'cos you would loose all your bottom end torque.

Before I fixed my ACIS the valves were stuck in the closed position so while my car was fine at lower revs, I was loosing a lot of  power at high revs.
Toyota designed it to work the way it does for a very good reason.

As for the riser/spacers, I have no idea of their value.
I have read several posts on various forums about them, but have never found anything conclusive.

Yeah thought as much,

Yeah if I ever can make a spacer I would give it ago but I guess I'll just leave this one
I to font understand how it could increase power that much for just 3cm of extra runner length you would have to sacrifice torque/power elsewhere I would think.

Thanks anyways targa
