I checked fluid levels, all ok
no oil leaks or signs of any other leaks under the car.
I charged the battery overnight and the next day, after four very gluggy turns, she fired up!
It's been at least 2 years since the engine has turned over.
idled for about 15 mins,  didnt sound any different to how I remember.

How worried should I be about internal condensation or corroded/perished hoses?

ok I think getting the ball joints sorted is going to be priority one for me.

can anyone suggest how much this should cost?

ebay has ball joints listed from about $20 to about $50 for singles, pairs, fronts and rears.
are the ball joints different for NA v turbo?
Would Toyota sell them?

Turbo and NA are the same but don't cheap out on these, get good quality ones.

You could try Road and track, Twos'R'us or Lithia Toyota Parts.

Howdy folks,

Hope everyone had a good Christmas!

Below are some pics showing the sorry state of my 16" rims.
They are CST Precedio's,  2x7" & 2x8".
One of the 8" rims is untouched.
The other 8" looks like this :

The inner lip is untouched.

The 1st 7" looks like this, both inner and outer lips are bent :

The 2nd 7" looks like this, both inner and outer lips are bent :

Are they repairable??
Since they are 2 piece wheels, is it possible to have the damaged parts made up or cannibalised from another set?

Cheers,
Stu

If your close to Newcastle there's a guy here who does awsome work on repairing rims but based on yours it would cost a good few hundred.

From the look of those, the cheapest solution may be to look for a new set.
