Bottom line is: get a good mechanic to take a look and quote on what needs to be done.
Get it done before you break something!

btw: I use 15W50 Mobile 1

Good Luck!

p.s. Any good tuners recommendations in Syd? I seriously need a tune too, she is running too bloody rich

I don't usually race, only raced once not consecutively. I did replace the oil, oil filter, spark plugs, spark leads when I got it 6000kms ago.

Anyway I am booked in for the tune on Tuesday, so there won't be anymore thrashing, well at the very least until then.

And I only found out the tune was bad once I talked to the owner before the guy I bought it off. And the boost is set to normal.

Probably change the fuel filter then if it hasn't been done probably one if the causes of your rough idle

It has been replaced sometime in the past, because it is a Ryco one. I bought one when I first got the car and done the service, but gave up before I broke the brackets that hold it in place.

Your talking about the banjo fittings right
They are a bitch to get off but be persistent you will be able to crack them
I changed mine even tho it had just had a major service 15 xxx kms before hand I did it for peace of mind also dosnt hurt either. :p

Use a socket with a hollow bar on the end to get more leverage and it will be easy as. And for te top one go from the top either get someone below and above to help or use heaps of extensions and a bar to get leverage or take it to a mechanic even it's a 20 minute job if he knows what he's doing.
It's only hard the first time ahah

That's probably a major part your issue
Clogged fuel filter replace it I would suggest I just used a ryco one aswell they need to be changed probs every 20xxx kms, so once a year maybe earlier if you give it a hard time better to be safe then sorry and there only 20$

But when you do get it off clean the fuel off the outside and try and blow through it if you can't then it was badly clogged or if its easy too then it may have been fine
Compare how easy it is to blow through to the brand new one. Also when I pulled mine off wasn't extremely hard to blow through but defo required force and the amount of dirty fuel that came out was a little disturbing.

Seemed to help the car run smoother and fuel consumption went down, performance and fuel pressure went up :)

So give that ago asap

I know which is why I bought a replacement one before I even got the car home for the first time lol.

Its not that that is bending, it's the actual part which the fuel filter sits in. It was bending a lot when I tried and my socket wrench extends out so I had a lot of leverage.

Trust me a meter long bar is a lot better then a 25 cm bar
Try some freeze and release or some wd40 to loosen things up

I would replace that ASAP if it hasn't been done and looks old.

Blocked filters can cause a lot of damage to your fuel lines also if its letting crap into your engine aswell

Also puts excess strain on your fuel pump and that is a crap job to do
You have to drop the fuel tank to get to it, and that would be a 3-5hour job for a mechanic so there's 4-500$ gone in labour all because you didn't replace a filter
To crack my bolts took over an hour and over half a can of freeze and realease and wd40

I tightened the bracket up so it couldn't move around I eventually got it.

Just take it to a mechanic if you can't be bothered.

But took 5 mins as soon as I found the bar.
Left it at my place
Was at my parents place and couldn't be bothered going to get it

But eventually had too or I was going to start crying lol

Okay, I will give it another go tomorrow after work, and while I am at work I will soak it in WD40 (aka magic lol). Hopefully that works because after paying for the tune next week I don't have any money to spare.

Did you see the thread I started not long ago asking about replacing the fuel pump? I don't think I want to do that when the fuel filter is a big enough pita haha. Although I stopped once I seen bending.

If I snap it tomorrow I will be sending you the bill!!!... Hahahaha just kidding.
