I'm happy to hear that the plugin fixed the photobucket issue for you all!

It's been 8 months since the last MR2 Wakefield Park Challenge, but only yesterday did I finally get a chance to drop off my car to get the left side skirt fixed. It was damaged by the gravel trap when I went off at turn 2 in spectacular/idiotic fashion, but it just needs some patching up and fresh paint.

This Friday 29th September I'm participating in the Nulon Nationals Roll Racing, as part of the Toymods team. It should be really fun!

Good luck with it Rob! I was in the Toymods team for the last 2 events so it will be great for you to continue to wave the MR2 flag! As you know, my car isn't suited to roll racing.
Kick arse mate.

Good luck with the roll racing Rob. I'm sure you will have some good results.

Look forward to catching up at the next WPC. Hopefully you don't repeat the 'Robney' incident again ;)

The roll racing on Friday night was really fun!
I won 8 races in a row, before finally losing to the 'Koval' Evo which is one of the big guns in the regular roll racing events. After Koval beat me, he then lost to the BYP700 Honda K24 turbo powered white SW20, which ended up finishing in 2nd place overall.
I also plan on joining some mates at Sydney Dragway on Oct 11, to try and set a new 1/4 mile PB.
I'm going to try to source a clutch switch and set up flat-shift before then, so I can save a few tenths on each gear change.

BYP's car is going well but I am also looking forward to seeing what Lockie's latest iteration performs like, from what he has said he has done I think it will be one to watch in the role racing and at Coota.

Yeah I'm keen to see Lockie's car out there again too!

I finished installing a clutch switch last night, so flat-shift is ready to go!
I actually used another brake light switch (they have the same thread to screw into the bracket on the pedal).

If you don't know how flat-shift works, it's a feature in aftermarket ECUs whereby fuel and/or spark is cut whenever the clutch is depressed while at wide-open throttle at high RPM.
It means that you can change gears by using the clutch only, with the accelerator pedal held flat to the floor the whole time. This also means that you can't stuff up the timing of depressing and releasing the clutch and accelerator pedals when trying to shift as quickly as possible.
The main benefit is that in a turbo car, flat-shifting eliminates the issue of the turbo compressor wheel getting slowed down when the throttle snaps shut during a normal gear change, so after the gear change you can be back on full boost with virtually no delay.
The downside is that it puts more stress on the synchros in the transmission.

Eric
the other benefit is that it sounds fantastic!
