I had a set of TRD engine mounts on my old SW20 and they were great. Firmer but without the nasty vibrations you can get with others.
Probably hard to find a new set these days. I think Dylan (Gorilla Ind) helped me get them from Japan. Wasn't that expensive either. Comes as a set of four.

Yeah, I've got the tezza tuffy ones too. I noticed a small increase in vibs but it's not too bad.

I used the Kirkosaurus inserts into the factory bushes and threaded another bolt into the front mount (threads pull out of the transmissions over time), firm but not much extra vibrations.

When you say Terry do you mean Road and Track? I couldn't see anything on their website.
It would be good to know more about those before I buy something like the kirkosaurus ones that Trav mentioned.

I did some more research and I think Road and Track / Terry's mounts might be the best for me (because they wouldn't cause excessive vibrations), BUT I just called Terry and unfortunately he only has 4 names on the waiting list and he needs a group of at least 10 before he gets a batch made.
Ideally I want to fix my mounts ASAP, so I may still choose the Kirkosaurus option. At least they use polyurethane inserts around the original rubber, unlike the Speed Source or Innovative ones which are solid polyurethane.

^^Rob, how much were the ones from Road & Track? Do they come as a set of 4?

I'm not sure sorry Rick. You would probably have to call Road and Track yourself on (07) 3201 8866, or email them.

I don't know if they are available as a set of 4. I will probably only upgrade the front and rear mounts on my car.
EDIT: I'm not sure about the cost.

In case anyone is wondering, my understanding is that Terry at Road and Track gradually collects a batch of stock rubber engine mounts (shipped to him from other MR2 owners) and when he has a big enough batch he then sends them off to someone else who removes the original rubber and replaces it with new bonded rubber with no voids. No polyurethane is used I believe.

However, you also have to pay a $100 deposit per mount, which will be refunded after you send your engine mounts to Road and Track. This ensures that they can always have mounts on the shelf as 'core stock', waiting to be upgraded when the waiting list grows to 10+ people.
