Your direct questions - boost will vary on your build / injectors / other factors and will be decided on a dyno tune. You can run 3sgte or 3sge or aftermarket camshafts, this will vary where and how much hp you make.

2gr - 2grfe - $12-$15k for amazing drivability and low rpm power (will out perform 3s build spec). Use your car for the transplant. If you destroy the engine they are cheap off the shelf.




Its a pity you are not in SA, I can do the entire 2GR swap for half that price. Definitely go for the V6 option, you wont look back!

Yeah, 2gr swap has gotten a lot cheaper over the past few years.

If youre happy with 250-260whp (which is enough thanks to the torque) you can just go the 2gr and be done.

Carmikey,  That has me very tempted to change my plans.  I may speak to you in a couple months about it.  Just off the top of your head and I am being lazy to look it up but what is the weight difference between the 2gr and the 3s motors?

I can't recall how much the 3s engines weighs, but my 2gr complete minus E153 turbo gearbox weighs 156kg.

3s 143kg google claims.  So really bugger all difference.  I need to talk to the war and finance minister but I am sure she will either tell me where to go due to money already spent or to wait a few months.  Personally I think she is just jealous of my car =)
