I got some genuine Rays aluminium wheel nuts for my new wheels, but i'm wondering how they compare to steel nuts?
Does anyone have any experience or thoughts about these?

Cheers

I have used a set of Rays Alu nuts on my old TE37s. Nice and light, less unsprung weight :) Gotta be careful to not damage them.

I heard somewhere that some racetracks require you to use steel nuts/bolts due to their extra strength??? Probably all BS though, not sure.

had 2 sets of blox nuts for a while, but wheel shops kept wrecking them. went to steel and never had a problem since

Main problem is when monkeys with impact wrenches get ahold of your car and go to town doing the nuts up, so they believe they wont come undone in a hurry.  Unfortunately, what happens is they end up stuffing the threads on them and they are rendered useless.
