It's time for some official thanking.
I'd like to thank Steve (of course) for dreaming up the idea of this event and making it happen and also making it better each year. Shaz also did a lot of work this year and it was appreciated greatly.
There were also multiple other helpers so rather than call out everyone's names which I am sure to mis-spell, I'd like to thank you all as a whole. Without you helping with the operation of the event, us drivers wouldn't have been able to have a great couple of days.
I noticed that quite a few of you had issues with your cars and accepted help from Paul Brell and Geoff Fear from Boss Tuning. You may not know that both of them helped out in their own time and weren't paid for their efforts. Thanks so much Paul and Geoff for your contribution, even if some of us don't appreciate your Cessna tuning, Paul!

Big thanks from me also.
I'd also like to thank Aaron and his partner (sorry, I'm hopeless with names) and Sharon for their tireless efforts assisting Steve to make sure everything ran smoothly. The event was one of the highlights of my life, and i hope to return next year.
It was great meeting such a great bunch of fellow enthusiasts. You're all champions!

Congratulations to the top 3 in each of the various categories!

Thanks again to Steve and all of his helpers who did a great job of keeping the event running smoothly.
I had even more fun than last year and met some more great people!

I encountered a few minor problems which I was able fix fairly easily at the event, but they did prevent me from participating in the hot lap shootout, and I only got to do one incomplete run in the tarmac special stage. I will need to revise my turbo-to-intercooler piping setup to prevent the piping/joiners from blowing off during extended periods of high boost, and I'll need to source a higher quality heat-tolerant silicon joiner for the turbo outlet so the joiner doesn't fail again with a split and a massive hole in it, as it did on the main straight during one of the many passenger sessions (before the hot lap shootout).

I still thoroughly enjoyed the event, I got some good practice at launching for the hill climb, and most importantly I was able to complete all of my full-circuit sessions with no problems. I still have to significantly improve my driving (especially later braking and more consistent downshifts) to achieve a lap time that I can be truly happy with, but nonetheless I am very pleased that I shaved almost 3 seconds off my lap time from last year with no other practice during 2014!

Also, I was very happy with the Federal 595 RSR tyres. Of course they don't compare to stickier tyres like the Yokohama A050 semi-slicks, but for their relatively low cost and longevity I found them to have very good grip compared to a more typical street tyre. I also never noticed any change in their behaviour during stints of about 3-5 hot laps on the full circuit.

Mate you are the champion of promotion! Thanks for providing a website and managing so effectively that we can not only gain valuable information regarding the MR2 but also the trading and social aspect of our interest. I also thankyou for being able to provide this facility to promote club and private events.Without MR2 Australia there is a huge hole in the MR2 community and this maturing event would have never made reality. I cannot thank you enough for your efforts. Well done Glenn.
I really wanted to thankyou along will everyone else at the event but it simply did not work out that way but it will be revised for 2016 so it will happen.

Shaz
I just want to say again, how much fun I had this year.  Back at work, but not sure where my head is.
Last year I had only 4 passenger runs, all in MR2's.  This year.......................... wow, can't quite remember all of them....................... MR2's, Lotus, STI, Corolla, Steve's little PUG, Skyline (WAAAAAHOOOOOO, HAHAHA)...........
Drifting was so much more fun than I thought it would have been.................... I'm glad I had watched some youtube tho, so I did know sort of what to expect.

Waving the checkered flat for your hot laps was fun.  Think I might have waved it a bit low & close to some of you tho, sorry...............

Thanks Steve for deciding to do this.

I'm in every year................. lol..............

I really enjoyed working with you over the few days. it was pretty funny when I walked in the office at sign on to a sea of mayhem! You should see it when the entries for the W300. The place goes crazy.
It was a treat to watch you fall out of the car after your many passenger experiences. Probably better than a day at a theme park!
Thanks again for all of your help. Its a gift when you can meet a bunch of people where we all get along as close friends and work well as mates. Pretty damn lucky!
Hopefully my car will up to the standard of excitement as many others at the event in 2016 so you can fall out of the car again!

Dudeman
A great time was had by all! Massive effort from the interstate visitors, have a safe return trip. Was really stoked that everyone showed polite track etiquette this year with no $%^&* drivers whatsoever.

Its a great track and i now completely understand what it means when street tyres go 'off' when they get too hot…

Now, not that winning is the most important thing….. Wheres the category and overall results???

Mate, I am pleased you escaped without injury! Great to see you had a great time. Will you be back in 2016?
