92 Hard Top
I finally pick up my new toy It's to rough for a daily driver. Do get fooled by the photo it was painted with spray cans. So I will turn it into a Circuit Car. Really no money needed to be spend on performance as it has 306 rwkw on 98 ron with a safe tune. I could put e85 on it as most of the car is set up for it, just need a flex sensor I think and I could get 350 rwkw.
So I be looking at putting in a roll cage, quick shift changer, race dash and etc. I don't have time to do this before MTC15, should get that done for MTC16.
The car is the fastest car I ever driven in its current tune. I hope I'm up to it!
So I will bring this instead of of my 92 Hard Top as I wrote it off in a crash.
Temped to get some slicks any advice on long lasting ones for MTC15 Hot lap.
Got some cheap rubber for the drifting which I have never done before.
Just checking over the car looking for any problems.
Not driving this over I am putting it on the trailer I think the fuel bill will be high and have no hearing.
Getting excited to see if I can scare myself with it. Get he heart pumping.

Merry Christmas to me!
I did manage to find some perfect 17 inch rims for the track, so I couldn't resist buying them and paying the huge shipping cost to get them here from overseas before the event! They arrived yesterday.
They are 'Linea Sport Super Spoke' rims, 17x9 and 17x8. I had never heard of them, but I loved them as soon as I saw the ad.

I also picked up some Federal 595 RS-R tyres from Gorilla Industries:

Long day in the workshop. Gearbox reassembled with new input shaft seal. Mechanic who did the box said in 40 years in the trade he had never seen a gearbox so dirty inside. Said it must have been assembled in a chook shed or next to a sandblasting machine. This was in addition to the second magnet and selector bush INSIDE the gearbox. Motor and box back in the car, all fluids done and cooling system fillled with new coolant and bled successfully. Few laps of the paddock. No fluid leaks but we discovered an exhaust leak. Stainless Steel Flex joint in the system was leaking through the mesh. My bad this one (not done by the shop who did the 2GR installation and gearbox rebuild as I personally arranged the exhaust fabrication in Geebung. 2 years old and just on 600 track kilometres ago. What is it about Queensland? Off to the exhaust shop tomorrow so it will be finished by the end of the week. Joys of owning a track MR2. Big thanks to Dave and Dean for their effort today.

Sadly that shop has a history of leaving sandblasting media in things. Ask Pat about his engine ;)

I don't think you will need slicks! Looking forward to seeing this (and many others) in two Mondays time.

I spent all afternoon and tonight working on my car as I have decided to bring it along for display (again..). was great spend sometime working on it as it has been a while. It will be incomplete but it will be there.
I picked up a new 3x3 marquee for the marshal who manages the car for the Hillclimb. There will be one at the start and the top of the hill.
Also picked up another four burner bbq so I will have two for the weekend. Will certainly need it with 40+ mouths to feed!
Can people who are able to help out please email? I have a few but it looks like Brendan is unavailable due to work commitments and Victor is driving this year so it will be tight for the Monday morning.
