So, i have this issue,
and ill start from the start.

So i had my clutch replaced with an exedy sports tuff kit in July this year.
the work was done by Charlestown toyota who i work for,
However,it was full of dramas, not only did it take the tech 22hours inn job clocked time and 4 days of my car being off the road to be done, the slave cylinder failed, and i sourced a replacement,
upon driving it out, i noticed the clutch bite was very high in the pedal like from putting your foot on the clutch it was about 1 inch down, so i thought its ok just a new clutch,

fast forward to the last week or so
upon starting the car after work, or even sometimes before work
i cant pinpoint a common denominator so to speak when this occurs, it can be dead cold left overnight from driving and it may or may not do it, or it could be sitting in the sun for 2 hours and it may or may not do it so im not sure whats causing this.
BUT ill start the car, go to put my foot on the clutch and it will start to rattle nd vibrate quite violently.
untill my foot has released the clutch then it stops OR up untill the gearbox warms up or after 1-2mins of driving.

it is VERY noticible, now i thought-  'this is the perks of a HD clutch noisy release springs or noisy throwout'.
but i read this happens untill you put the foot on the clutch- not the other way around like in my case... ?
and also, it still has quite a high bite point.. it hasnt really come down much. the clutch has only done 3500kms.

Also i changed my shifter bushings to the brass twos r us ones about 3 months ago, not sure if they could contribute?
Also, my engine oil level is full- 10w40 royal purple
and my gearbox oil ijust changed 2 months ago to amsoil 75-90 smooth shift gl4

just wondering,
is that noise my clutch being screwed?
or is it normal,
is the high bite point normal?
and that rattle what could that be?

can someone help me,
should i demand them check the clutch? or could it be as simple as a bad bleed job?

Any opinions/help would be great.

I lost interest about 10 times trying to read that.

All I can say is it is not normal, with that clutch it should drive like a factory car

Sorry Dasic
Just trying to include all info i can.

i have edited and trimmed it down.

So the rattle is not normal? sounds like a bad install?
thats exactly what i thought and read from other reviews of the clutch kit.
being 35% extra clamp load, but behave like the factory clutch.

Sounds like your clutch has failed. I know a few of the AW11 guys have had issues with the Excedy clutchs failing at the springs in the friction plate. Basically, the springs break loose and rub against the pressure plate or the flywheel bolts.

When you start the motor, the rattle happens at the friction plate spins around and the spring rattles against the flywheel bolts or pressure plate. When you clutch in, the rattle stops since the friction plate stops. It might only rattle sometimes because the spring might re-seat itself for a bit.
IIRC, this happened to both Harreh and Dneg on these forums.

My advice, get it on the hoist at work, pull the gearbox inspection/dust cover off and stick an endoscope in there to have a look. If it's shagged, either get a warranty or buy a quality clutch from NPC :)

Thanks for the input knight!

However my issue happens when I put my foot on the clutch the rattle starts.. not when its not pushed to the floor.

ill have them look at it in the next few days

Just getting my head around the 22 hours part.  You could remove, rebuild and re-install a gearbox in less time than that.  And that's without using a hoist.  I'm interested to hear the story behind the time . . .

I recently installed an Exedy HD Organic Clutch. No problems there. I've probably used 2 sets of Exedy on the car now. Its probably a bad install man.

Your clutch definately needs come out. Possibly you have excess grease on the flywheel or a oil leak onto the flywheel or maybe even the flywheel bolts are comming loose. Any which way it's not going to last too long so the sooner you get it out the less damage will be done.
I know someone that had a excedy HD fited to a 300zx. There was too much grease ended up super heating and the friction plates fell off.
