Hey just wanted to know what would be a good setup, and where you have it mounted etc.
I've got a bit of build up from blow back in my intake system and am going to clean out my intake and intercooler, so this time round I'd like to make sure it all stays clean with a catch can... only thing is there seems to be a few variations in how you can set them up ie. with breathers etc. and don't have a lot of knowledge on them.
Am thinking the 15mm greddy seems to be a good option over cheaper ebay stuff with smaller diameter fittings

oil goes in and then straight out! i have one of these in the largest hose sizing that has been modded to work properly but not in a std MR2 setup like your after AND has cost more then making my own setup!

i recommend something near the air cleaner mount wise, that has some form of baffling or atleast just some steel wool inside to actually seperate and not just look good.

Back when i first bought my car that was the first mod....

One of the first mods i did too, back in the day! Good chance to check out the old pics, and reflect on whats happend since.

Apexi with ss mesh added, 19mm outlets fitted and attached to the lhs engine mount bracket.
Now have an oem gen3 can.

Damn I need to clean my engine bay! both of yours look well tidy.
Seems pretty simple setup then, just splice it into the pcv line onto the correct catch can inlet/outlets, and mount it next to the pod filter. Should be a nice quick install for once lol. So would there be any issue with going for the 19mm hose & fittings instead? Have got plans for a lot more power down the track...
atm am installing 550cc SARDs, a Walbro 255 and gt28rs in the next week or two so I imagine the 15mm would be fine but just want to future proof it a bit ;)

no issue whatsover, but you didnt read what we wrote. We both had to modify these things.

Get one with baffles in it already.

I did read it but they have one with 19mm fittings for sale for the same price so no modification needed:)
Will make sure to check that it does come with a baffle cheers for all the advice!

They have no baffles!!!!

oil goes in and oil goes out.

No Greddy items have baffles

Ok so I managed to find one for a decent price with baffles, but am not sure as to whether it is beneficial to have the dual catch can setup or is that a bit overkill and not necessary?
From what I can gather you have the rocker cover is vented into the intake, and then there is also the crankcase routed back into the intake with a pcv valve on it, which would need to be moved to the outlet of the catch can to prevent pressurising can under boost. Is this correct? So a dual catch can would help eliminate blow by from both these?
Sorry is all just a bit confusing lol thanks for your help

Are you talking about a 93+ gen3?
Don't see any need for dual cans, as long as one is baffled, with good surface area..should be fine.

Agree with above, however if you have a gen 3 you already have a oil breather seperator fitted as standard that even includes a drain to cylinder head. A well engineered setup when cleaned ocassionally etc.

But i know you have a gen2. Set it up as it is in my picture and you cannot go wrong. No need for two cans.

Post up what you have found?
