Yeah, I am happy to assemble my own.  Can probably offer an assembly service for anyone else in Australia that is interest with a minimal fee.

The manufacturer said that it is quite easy to assemble, problem is most ordinary home mechanics don't have a press. That would be great for you guys in Australia if James offered his services.

Is it too late to join in on this order? Would like to get a set as well... Only thing is will this mod affect the force required to turn the wheels significantly ie. is it a noticable difference?

Actually **** it, put me down for one as well, just went for a drive and for roughly an extra 20% more resistance it would be so worth it

I dont think the effort is increased that much as the steering is still EHPS.  Just remember, a power steering rack is required for this.  Your pinion will also have to be removed to fit the new parts to it.  I can probably do fitment on a changeover basis, however, I will have to kindly request your pinion first else I would have to charge an exxy core charge (a new replacement pinion costs hundreds of dollars).

Yeah should be all good for fitting it myself, have got a press so will just be a matter of working out what needs to be done when I get all the parts I suppose!

ashtwo I have sent you a pm. I would love to have you join in on the group buy, but as -Totenkopf- has mentioned this upgrade is only suitable for a power steering rack. It will not fit a manual steering rack.

Are you planning on buying a power steering rack ?

I'm going to seriously consider this, seeming as though this opportunity isn't going to come up often if at all again.
Can someone please PM me a price for the parts posted to aus/or vic? I have presses and full engineering workshop to use.
Also I have a spare power steering pinion if someone wanted to purchase it so their mr2 doesn't have to go out of service while work is being done.
I also have a complete power steering rack spare if someone needs.
Thanks
Matty D

Hi Matty,

I can only give you a rough estimate on postage costs as the product has not yet been made. You would be talking in the region of $20.00 for registered post.
