Yes indeed and for that I apologise . I certainly was not trying to mislead anybody when they signed up to this group buy. I too would be anxious if it was somebody else holding a group buy for this length of time. I just hope that the pinion upgrade is worth the wait.

I will phone the manufacturer on Monday and give you a update.

Pinion A should be ready in ten working days.

Pinion B has given the manufacturer some problems as it is assembled differently to pinion A. At the moment I do not have a date for when that will be ready.

any chance I can change my order to pinion A then? I will just get the different size bearing. No date for these guys seems to mean 6 months.

You would need a pinion from a revision 1 or 2 MR2 to do what you want. So if you was to go down that road you may as well have the whole power steering rack from an rev 1 or 2. It's a case of taking pinion B apart without damaging it that is giving them some problems. Although the manufacturer is extremely slow dealing with this order, I am sure they are capable of solving the problem with pinion B.
 
I will be talking to the manufacturer again this coming Monday so don't panic yet.

Pinion A parts have already been machined and sent to be hardened so I am not sure if I can change your order. I will discuss it with the manufacturer next week.

Regarding your order - the gears are waiting for the next opportunity to go up on our spark eroder which I am told is imminent and then off to heat treatment after which is grinding etc.. Taking all this into account the parts (13/14 off) will be despatched to you w/c: 26th.
