Shaz, You have a great boss. I know how much you have been looking forward to these Nationals.
I'm afraid I am in a similar situation, only I don't have a boss, being self employed it's just me. I haven't missed a Nationals, having been to the previous five. But unless there is turn around I wont be able to be in Adelaide this year.
On the positive side I have been adding to my collection of Toyota sports cars, this year have bought three more 90's cars. 2 Celica's & a 94 Soarer.
Still hopeful I could make it for a couple of days, but the time driving to & from Adelaide would not make it viable.

Yes, I do have a good boss.  Disappointed that i can't do the road trip over, but happy to still be coming.  And less stressed about the workload before & after.
Hopefully something turns around & you are able to make it.

Plans are being finalised for the MR2 Nationals in Adelaide from Friday 29 September to 3 October 2017.

To assist with the program, if you are planning on attending part or all of the MR2 Nationals you need to get your entry form in NOW.  Yes there is a $50.00 entry fee to help pay for two venue hire, entry to the Birdwood Motor Museum, Show n Shine trophies, printing of the souvenir decal and 60 page full colour Magazine.  Sponsorship has been obtained from Shannons to help offset some of the costs.

Don't miss this major MR2 event in your State.

If you did not receive the up-date email, it means I don’t have your Entry or payment.  To receive an Entry Form send an email to nationals@mr2club.com.au ASAP

Cheers, Kevin

32 days to go.

I'm sure it's still not to late to get your registration in if things have improved & you can now come along.

Are you taking late entries Reddtarga??

From my understanding QLD in 2015 has been the biggest to date.  What would have been the next one & how close are we to having that many?

We will accept Entries up to the 20th September. I'm holding off as late as possible to order some of the goodies.  So please help by getting your Entry Form in ASAP.

After that date we will accept late entries, but they may not receive a rally pack or the souvenirs planned for the MR2 Nationals.

Entry Forms can be obtained by sending an EOI email to nationals@mr2club.com.au

No Entry Form with payment = No attendance!!

Cheers. Kevin

After more than 12 months in the planning with the understanding we would be visiting "The Bend" motorsport venue at Tailem Bend to see the construction progress.  Over the last fortnight I needed confirmation and arrival times for Monday.  I phoned Peregrine to get an answer.  They were unaware of any plans for our visit, other than a brief mention some time ago.  WHAT????

They did their best trying to accommodate us, but the issue of OH&S was all too difficult, the weather making access too muddy for the public and the fact that they are so far behind schedule there are too many heavy machinery whizzing around that it would be too unsafe.

So at this late stage Peregrine and the Project Manager at The Bend motorsport construction site have informed me that we will NOT be able to visit The Bend construction site.

They thought being a public holiday we may have had a chance, but sadly after repeated phone calls the answer was still "No".

Needless to say I'm shattered and feeling totally let down by repeated earlier assurances that the visit would be on.

We have a few options for Monday's program which will be discussed over Saturday and a decision made at the MR2 Nationals dinner Saturday night.

It will still be a GREAT Event, one not to be missed. Entries close 20th September.

Dissaponting I know, however we were never going to be able to drive on it anyway, and there are other good options for the Monday available anyway.

Personally I can't wait to get some more pics like this one from Qld in 2015.

I wouldn't be too upset, it will still be an event to remember - it's all about the journey there as well as the meet.

It may have been good to see the track under construction but being at a track and not being able to drive on it? Would that be like looking at a waterslide park with all of the water missing?
