Given I missed MTC16 and have been told by pretty much EVERYONE that I seriously missed out, I'll have to make sure I attend this time.
I'm keen for Wakefield Park, like everyone else, and would actually prefer it over Mallala, even though I live half an hour away from the track.
Rest assured that I'm keen for WP, even if the price isn't the same. You can't put a price on that sort of fun.
 
If it's the time of year that's costing us extra money, personally I'd prefer to defer it to a later time in the year, if only for the cooler weather!
I'll be attending no matter what the cost and the time of year, but that's my 2 cents.

I think it's always been held early to keep the price down, later when it's cooler is more expensive I believe.
It's funny that you've never driven at Mallala considering you only live 30 mins away.....

Wakefield, and coolest time of year possible for same/similar money would be good in my opinion.
 
Not so close to Christmas/New year may even make it easier for time off.
With the entry cost being only one part of the overall cost for participants (along with travel, fuel, parts & car prep) I think you'll still get the numbers if forced to pass on an increase from Wakefield management.

Just registering my +1 for Wakefield. I fully intend to be able to participate in this next year, now that I'm back in another MR2 and have enough time to get it ready. Can't believe I missed so many of them in the past! Such a great event!

After attending this year, If it's happening in 2017 I'll be there regardless of location.
 
Wakefield is my preference, I am keen for another go at it, Though perhaps at a cooler time of the year so we don't drink the town water supply dry 

i'm not fussed where it's held as long as it keeps getting held so i can get a chance to be at one.

Would love to know... If it looks like its a no goer, it will make considerable changes to my car(s) / arrangements & plans.
 
Also, if WP is not viable or available etc, has any thought been discussed in regards to a backup plan, maybe string a few tracks days together & still all meet annually?
 
Possibly changes to the annual dates? Oct sometime would probably be a good time for most people & their work organisations?  Not sure just throwing it out there.

Sorry for the late reply. I have pre occupied with too much work!
At this stage I will be putting something to Wakefield Park the week after Easter as I will have some down time. We have not had any feedback as yet. When we have a chat the picture will become clearer but there were no noises of issue so expect all is ok.
 
I would like to see it continue as I have to actually run my car at the event at some stage. As all the key issues have now been resolved there is a strong chance it will be there. 
If it does not work out with WP we can organize a tour of a few of the tracks in the south. Even if MTC does happen (which is the preferred option), we can still organize a trip to Sandown/Broadford/Winton/Phillip Island or something of the likes. Jumping on someone else's band wagon would be an option. No doubt incorporating something with the Nationals would be the sane thing to do but will have to see how that one turns out.
 
 

An extended trip that included Winton &/or Sandown &/or Philip Island would be awesome! I'd have to sell a few things (kids maybe?) to be able to afford it, but I'd find a way. Philip Island is on my bucket list lol.

I am 100% up for that idea also. As it is, we were considering taking an extended trip similar to what you did last year Rick, so a few extea days racing is totally fine with me!
