10 points for effort Matt, well it gives it an interesting look but I am not sure the authorities will like it.

Yep followed the guide but didn't pre-test with the lights before soldering up. I have since fixed the issue, however once I fixed it initially one light was still way too bright; on closer inspection one of the sockets had been wired in reverse so I had to go green->red instead of green->green and they were not cheap sockets either which is annoying.
tl;dr One socket was dodgey and had to be re-wired, one was wired in reverse and I wired one whole side in reverse trusting the backwards plug. Needless to say I'm happy its done and over haha.

Good job mate, I tried doing the same to one of my MR2s and it all went haywire. The eBay sockets I bought weren't consistent, each one had three coloured wires (red, green, black) but on every socket, they all were used differently. So confusing!
