also at what rpm are you getting 12psi?

the stock ct26 should be able to hold 12psi to redline, but you'll notice it feeling somewhat suffocated above 5500rpm

if you have a hiflow, prob not much point swapping for a ct20b unless it's a rubbish hiflow and is too laggy, ie:doesn't hit full boost till 4000rpm

its an 89 model/ Imported to aus from japan in 2004. Sadly import paperwork dosent say if it was turbo or Na, but the recipt from the turbo rebuild is dated prior to the engine being replaced, so i would guess it was turbo.

where do people order there performance parts from? I was thinking about getting a greddy intercooler kit (apparently there the best?) and a exhaust as my first mods. What brand/model of exhaust do you think would be the most efficent/better flowing? single or twin tipped? Sorry if i sound like a newb, but thats what i am with this car :P Google is proving a overflow of information all saying different things, i figure you guys would know from experience what works best.

Edit- i didnt check what rpm i was at, when i have my hoses replaced ill be able to take it out for a spin to check

use gorilla inds, they're forum vendors. they can source new and used parts.

fujitsubo legalis R seems to have the highest rating in the mr2 world. being not too loud and looking great.

def keep twin exit, other options for new are BERK

i wouldn't fork out for a new greddy, exp and not ness better than the ebay copies.

but don't get an ebay exh

sent gorilla a message about the 2nd hand  fujutsubo exhaust they *hopefully* still have.

looking at ebay coolers but none of them seem to have the mounting plate thing the greddy cooler has.

Edit - Is there a surefire way of making sure when gen engine this is? A guess could work out not so well when im looking at getting a new stand-alone ecu

Actually a single piped/outlet exhaust has the best flow, but most people go for twin outlets for appearance/sound. I've got a Phoenix Power (Garage f-u-k-u-i) Departure II Pro, which is probably the best flowing off the shelf twin exhaust as the piping is 3.35" - it was too big for my 3" Berk DP lol
It looks like you've currently got a single exhaust, so that would probably flow better than a lot of the twins going around. If the piping is 3", why not keep it there?

re: which engine.

the TB and inlet are dead giveaways as to what revision and generation motor.

but you can also check the part number on your ECU

Mate, its a Gen 2...easy giveaways are the toyota emblem stamped on the valve cover, the AFM after the air filter, the sticker on the inlet manifold.  You also do not have a factory oil catch can which the Gen 3 has.

Cheers,

Correct - who ever recorded it as a '1995' 3S-GTE is, obviously, Wrong.
